Liftthe EGR clear from the car. Manoeuver the throttle body around and also withdraw the yellow clip slightly. Unplug the connector and withdraw it from the car. Clean out the area arrowed - use a screwdriver to break it up and a hoover, make sure none goes into the intake, you want it out, not in. Attachments.

The2.4 uses a 36mm socket, the 1.9 uses an unusual size cover that nobody makes a socket for, its not the same size as the Vauxhalls with the same engine,
